Music

What do they actually do in a Music classroom?

Well, across the year levels all our music students study three main areas in the classroom.  We teach students the language of music so that they can read and write it and understand what is going on in the music when they hear it.  Students explore the role of music in our society and in other societies so that they might know of the great pillars of culture, experience something new and make informed judgments. Thirdly, students make music.  This week our elective Year 9 and 10 Music Performance class made music and what a show they created.  Enthralled Prep students were entertained, excited and educated by the showcase of musical performances, investigations into musical instruments, dance and games, wholly designed and delivered by the Year 9 and 10 students.
