Curriculum 

Selamat siang, apa kabar? We hope you are feeling refreshed and ready for another action packed term in the Discovery Centre! The Foundation students were excited to get back into the classroom with their friends and share about their holidays.

During Week 11, we had a number of exciting events! On Wednesday, students showcased their learning throughout our Guided Inquiry unit ‘Shaping Identity’. It was very special for students to share their work and understanding of identity with students from a range of year levels as well as our lovely families!

Students were incredibly excited to take part in Mount Pleasant Road's second Colour Fun Run! Students dressed in white and ran through a course that was mapped out across the school. They stopped off at different obstacles and activities along the way and of course were subject to lots of cheeky teachers throwing coloured paint on them as they raced by. The Colour Fun Run was such a wonderful day and was amazing to see so many families coming along to watch the festivities. Well done on raising so much money which is going towards building a Gaga pit. A very big special thanks to Mrs B for organising the day and to all parents and members of our community who helped out, we appreciate your time.

Some other amazing celebrations were our Easter Hat Parade and Family Breakfast on the last day of term. Thank you to all those who were able to attend! Your presence is what makes those community events so successful, and as always the students were so happy to have you in the school. We were very proud of every Foundation class for showing bravery when parading their hats or bunny ears for the school. It was so nice to bring in the holidays by checking in with families and sharing breakfast together.

Reminders

• Please continue to practise reading take home books and sight words each night. 
• Students are still required to wear hats for outside play throughout April, please ensure they have a labelled hat to wear.
