Beautiful Birds, Fish and Creatures of the Sea

This term the Year  5/6 students have been looking at the Art Elements, especially line, shape and form.  Students created a detailed realistic drawing of a bird, and used coloured pencils and watercolour pencils to shade it.

The Year 4’s developed their understanding of shape using oil pastels to create a beautiful and colourful abstract portrait in the style of Picasso. How beautiful are these works below!

Year 3’s worked on colour to create amazing colour resist pictures of fish.

Year 1’s studied the beautifully illustrated book by Alison Lester ‘The silver sea’. They created an underwater sea picture using pastels and watercolour and the results were absolutely amazing!
