Athletics Carnival

Congratulations to House Clontarf who came out on topin yesterday's Athletics Carnival! The final results were: Clontarf 1318  |  Kildare 120.66  |  Melleray 1091.33

Age Champions:

12-13 Years: Isla Hiscock and Jett Wilson

14 Years: Abbey Williams and Archie Elliott

15 Years: Jorja Clode and Max Sudholz

16 Years: Jarrah Martin and Tom Sostheim

17 Years: Rory Doran and Isaac Arnold

18-20 Years: Kayla Kelm and Andrew Taylor

Congratulations to the following students who also broke records: Jett Wilson, Archie Elliott and Isla Hiscock.

Swimming Update

We've had some great results in the pool lately! 

Four out of our five students made it through to SSV State Finals which are being held on Thursday 28th April. This is an amazing effort!

Individual Results:

Deacon - 1st 100m Breaststroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley and 2nd in 50m Butterfly.

Jack - 1st 50m Butterfly, 100m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke, and 3rd in 100m Backstroke.

Claudia - 3rd in 50m Butterfly and 2nd in 50m Backstroke.

Claire - 5th in 50m Freestyle.

Jorja - 2nd in 100m Butterfly, 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle, 1st in 200m Individual Medley, and 5th in 100m Freestyle.

Our combined relay team of Jack, Deacon, Jorja, Claudia and Emgency, Claire, also smashed it and they came first in the medley and Freestyle.

Exciting times ahead!

ALSO.... Jack and Jorja swam at the Victorian Country All Juniors recently in Melbourne and achieved the following results:

Jack - 1st in 50m Butterfly, 1st 50m Backstroke, and 2nd 50m Freestyle.

Jorja - Jorja made the final for the Backstroke and placed in 8th position.

Both students did extremely well. Lots of swimmers entered and to make finals, let alone win, was incredible.

Sports Academy

Ms Burdett’s Year 8/9 Sports Academy Class helped out at the SMJ Athletics. 

As a big thank you for the help and support these students gave to the students and staff to at SMJ. SMJ have kindly given each of these students a $10 canteen voucher! Thanks SMJ for letting us be part of your day, we are forever grateful for relationship we have.
