WINNER - SMILING MINDS SPACES - DULUX

We are excited to announce that JPII is the winning school of the Smiling Mind Spaces Competition.  Smiling Mind Spaces  aims to bring a mindful space to life. We have nominated our Sensory Room for this timely makeover to both enhance the sense of calm and look of this important space. Thank you to Anne Tanner our Business Manager for entering our school into this fantastic initiative by Dulux.

EASTER EGG DONATIONS FOR ST VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

Help make someone else's Easter a happy and joyful one this year by donating Easter Eggs to St Vincent De Paul Society's  Loui's Van and Assistance Pantry.

Donations can be brought into the school office.

NAPLAN 2022

Students from Years 3 and 5 will be participating in the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) 2022. NAPLAN Tests for Years 3 and 5 will consist of four different tests -  Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy and are scheduled to take place from Tuesday 10 to Friday 20 May.  

Students from these year levels will be participating in some practice tests during the final two weeks of term.

At John Paul II we use a variety of tasks and assessments within our classes to inform our practice and provide feedback for students. NAPLAN results are used primarily for identifying general patterns of students' learning progress which can provide information for review and improvement of teaching practices. 

We do stress that NAPLAN is just one test on one day and it is a priority for us that the tests are run in a smooth and calm manner in order to avoid stress and we trust that parents and carers will support us in this endeavour.
