Principal Post

Dear Families,

Our congratulations to many of our Year 3 & 4  students (and others)  who celebrated the their First Reconciliation across the past two evenings.

Our hope is that these children always know of God's unconditional love through our families, school experiences and through friendships. May we all know the importance and value of saying sorry and 'starting over.'

Forgiving and being forgiven is an important part of life and helping our children and students to recognise the value of right relationships is always crucial.

For more information please read RE news

Thank you to all families for availing yourselves for last week's 'Meet & Greet' Conversations.

From all accounts these went well and sets up the all important positive relationship between home and school.

Our Congratulations also to our SRC Representatives

Some very excited Year 1-6 students received their SRC badges at Assembly on Monday!! They will ensure student voice is involved in school events and decision making. Well done!! Read more on the following pages.

Parking and safety

As many of you will be aware, last week the Police and Council have been out monitoring the parking and traffic flow in St John's Way and surrounding streets.

Please note:

The parking in St Johns Way is currently 2 minutes between 8am - 9am and again 3pm and 4pm.

You are obligated to observe these and all parking signs despite what you may have done in the past.

It is important to keep the traffic flow moving and if that means you need to 'go around the block again' then do so.

Please do not get out of your car. If you need to do so, perhaps using the Parish Car park is a better option. Alternatively park in the surrounding Streets.

In Dunoon Court please allow those using the shops to enter & exit their car park. In other words be courteous and patient and do not block  cars in.

DO NOT park on  the corner of Bevis and Studley St in the no standing area it is dangerous.

Please be mindful of pedestrian traffic. For the safety of everyone, please be careful and follow the instructions of any school and street signage.

FAQ (asked by community members)

 Q. Can the school place witches cones on the Corner of Bevis and Studley Street in the

'No Standing Area' ?

A. In speaking with the Police and Council this  could be an unsafe practice.

Q. Can we get a Convex mirror in St Johns Way to alert drivers turning into Studley Street as to pedestrians crossing the road?

A. In speaking with the Council, that could  be a distraction as the driver looks up to check and cause other issues. Please  turn cautiously and stop if required.

Open Days - 2022 Prep Enrolment

Our Open Days began well today for prospective families. I was so proud of our Captains who assisted me. They spoke so proudly and confidently of our school!

Existing families with a sibling beginning in 2022 have been sent an enrolment form and I cask that they be completed and sent back to the office asap. This assists us in planning our Prep numbers for 2022.

Our next Open Day is next Thursday 11th March.
