COMING SOON... the CSA Christian Schools Community Profile Survey

We want our parents to tell us what you think!

We are conducting a survey to better understand the reasons why parents/carers choose to send their children to our school. The Christian Schools Community Profile: WHY PARENTS CHOOSE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS survey is offered by Christian Schools Australia. It will be conducted amongst all families with children enrolled in participating Christian schools. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents/carers’ choice of school, their satisfaction with their children’s learning, their engagement in the school community and their general background. Our school will use the survey results to help gain a better understanding of our community, to inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies. All families will be invited to participate in the survey. The survey will be conducted online and will only takes 15-20 minutes to complete.  The survey can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

All responses to the survey are anonymous. The survey will be conducted from Monday 8 March to Thursday 1 April 2021.

Parents/carers will receive an email this Monday with the link to the survey. Please check your SPAM folders if you have not received it by Tuesday.

Please do not hesitate to contact our Community Relations Manager, Amanda Herring, at amandaherring@ncs.nsw.edu.au if you have any general queries about the survey.

Carpark Safety

Just a reminder that if you drive your child to school, please do not let your child walk from the carpark into school on their own.   We ask that you either use the kiss and drop lane, or if you are using the carpark, you must bring your child/ren from the car.

Supporting your child’s career development

The earliest and often the most powerful learning about careers is shaped by the adults in a child's life. myfuture, the National Career Information Service, has tools and resources available to help parents/carers guide and support their child as they explore career options and occupations of interest.

Michelle Maes, Careers Manager, will be holding a webinar to demonstrate the career development resources that are freely available on the myfuture website to assist the career development process.

QR Code Check-in/out

In keeping within the recommendations of the NSW Government for COVID-19, our school is officially registered as a COVID-Safe business and all parents/carers are encouraged to check-in when they enter our site, especially when waiting to pick your children up after school.

If you are signing in as a visitor to our school, you MUST register using the NSW Government app, as well as signing in either on the computer in the front office, or with the QR code next to the computer. If you are using the NSW Government app, it is easier to open the app and register this way as your details are automatically stored. There are various QR code posters near the front office as well as on the fence in the afternoon pick-up area for students in K – 6.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO SIGN OUT OF BOTH when you leave our site. We thank you in advance for your support in relation to these QR code protocols.

Kindergarten 2022 Enrolments

If you have a child starting Kindergarten next year, please complete an enrolment form as soon as possible. Enrolment forms are available from the office or you can download one from our website. We will be holding some Kindergarten Open Mornings during the year. These are tailored for families who do not currently have children enrolled at NCS. There will be other transition opportunities provided for our current families who have a Kindergarten child coming next year.

COVID-19 Test Register Form

It is important that we continue to be vigilant in ensuring that staff and students do not attend school or work if they are unwell.  Please note the following:

  • Students absent or sent home due to flu-like symptoms need to be tested for COVID-19.
  • Staff and students must not return to school or work until they receive a negative COVID-19 result and are symptom-free.
  • Staff and students who have had a COVID-19 test must complete the COVID-19 Test Register before returning to school. This form will require you to upload a screenshot of the test results.
  • If the student or staff member is still displaying ongoing symptoms that are typical of a condition such as seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), they can provide a medical certificate from their GP to continue to attend school.
