Lions Youth of the Year 2021

Congratulations Brandon Willmette ... Winner of the Lions Youth of the Year 2021 - District Final held at Rutherford on Sunday the 26 March 2021.

An outstanding effort from a proud School Captain and representative of Henry Kendall High School.  Thanks must  go to Mr David Ardley for his mentoring, encouragement and accompanying Brandon to the event.

Brandon will now represent Henry Kendall High School at the State Final being held in Canberra during the school holidays.

Initially Brandon and Caitlyn Wilson represented Henry Kendall High School in Round 3 of the Competition on Tuesday 9 March - Brandon won the Region 1 Final and progressed to the District Final.

Lions Youth of the Year is designed to encourage, foster and develop leadership in conjunction with other citizenship qualities in our youth.  The qualities sought, apart from academic attainments are those of leadership, personality, sportsmanship, public speaking and good citizenship.  Youth of the Year is designed to encourage student interest in leadership and the qualities required to take an active and constructive role in the community.
