Special Education

During Term 1 our Purple Class, 7/8 Class and 9/10 Class were able to venture out into the community during their Community Access lessons.  During these lessons the students visited a variety of places:

  • Bunnings - to buy plants for the Special Education garden, locate products within the store and purchase products.
  • Bulgandry Aboriginal Art Site - where students were immersed amongst the Aboriginal culture and environment and viewed many of the well preserved Aboriginal art engravings.
  • Coast to Lake Walk - Students walked a small section from Long Jetty to The Entrance and enjoyed the nature and being outdoors.
  • Gosford Waterfront Park - Students experienced the SUPER slide and the Tidal Terrace that brings the bay into the park and viewed the sandstone animal ‘islands’ that were inspired by Bulgandry Aboriginal Art site.

We are looking forward to more adventures in Term 2.
