CAPA News

If you are in Year 7 or 8 and in the Creative & Performing Arts faculty, then you are creating ... and refining ... and questioning ... and reflecting on many different ways to understand yourself and the world around you.  It could be an artist view of the garden, intricate designs that draw the eye in many places, creating shapes and images to represent sound and working with teams to create an audio scape of ideas that challenge the verbal.

Drama students have been injected with new perspective and direction. Working with teams to convey meaning with movement, expression, sound or space, stage 5 students are discovering what it means to find your identity and confidence in front of peers and audiences.

Music students fill the air space inside and outside the music rooms, during class and breaks. The sounds of lyrics and melody, rhythms and grooves are a normal part of our day.  This is the wonderful sense of the Creative and Performing Arts in a vibrant and lively school culture that the students and staff of HKHS live in each day.  Learning can be heard, seen and felt  here in CAPA.
