As we finish  Term 1, our wonderful Stage 4 students (Years 7 and 8) had an opportunity to reflect on their learning so far this year.

Year 7

Lahni Murdoch - “I like Applied Learning because I like working in groups”.

Summer Moes - “I like that I can show and do my creative things in my head.”

Jackson Reid-Rowatt - “Teamwork”.

Ariana Tuckey - “I like the projects we are doing”.

Olivia Wanner - “It means that we learn all of the subjects in one class.  I liked the portfolio and 

also I am liking the Wellbeing speech assessment and song”

Elise Bell - “It means we all work together and we all can learn more efficiently. Learning 

about the 5C’s and working with different people”

Ava Skinner - “It helps me reflect on work and stuff. I’ve enjoyed making new friends and 

getting to know my peers”

Mia Baek - “Applied Learning helps me engage with my classmates and work in a positive 

mindset. I like the groups I got put in and talking through projects”.

Samantha Green - “To me Applied Learning is about improving your wellbeing and I enjoy working with different people”.

Year 8

Olivia McTeare - “Applied Learning to me is learning how to work affectively in a team. I have enjoyed working in teams because it’s more fun and I learn more”.

IBM P-TECH Presentation 4 March 2021

Thank you to our IBM Liaison Officer, Jillian Williams, for her fantastic presentation on IBM OPEN P-TECH badges to our Year 9 Future Learning Students. 

Henry Kendall High School Year 9 students will be part of the Futures Learning study & complete the training of the OPEN P-TECH badge: 'Cybersecurity'.

Cyber security positions will be in high demand and our students will have an authentic credential (Cyber security OPEN P-TECH badge) designed and delivered by IBM.

Any student interested in a career in cyber security please see the Careers Adviser, Mrs Cortaville-Smith in the Library.
