Be strong, and let your heart take courage,

all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24

Dear Parents

This year our Scripture quote is from the book of Psalms.

“Be strong and take heart all those who hope in the Lord” Psalms 31:24

Both the staff and the students have been exploring its meaning by engaging in dialogue and professional reading to help unfold the message and discover new layers of meaning.

Year 5/6K created some images that they thought represented the quote. Here are some of them below:

The earlier verses of this psalm are used at our Good Friday ritual. They speak of hardship and dread. The Psalm then finishes by telling us to have courage, to trust and have hope in our God. Isn’t this the message of Easter? Jesus’ resurrection gives us hope of new life.

Let’s pray that during this Lenten journey we can be people of hope even in the dark times. This is not always easy when we are faced with difficulties in our life. Maybe this can be our challenge throughout this Lenten Season

Take Care
