From the Principal
Week 4 Term 1 2021
Dear Parents/Guardians
Lockdown 3.0
A huge thank you to our community for your support during the three days of lockdown this week. Without much notice on Friday afternoon the staff did an amazing job of organising the learning grids and activities for the students so that their learning would continue. I am very appreciative of the efforts of everyone since the announcement last Friday. It's great to be back!!!!!!!!
Pupil Free day
Friday 5th March has been allocated a pupil free day for Professional Learning for the staff. Please mark this date in your diary. This is the first Professional Learning day for our staff that is not related to COVID in a year.

Ash Wednesday Prayer Service
Thank you to Ms Reed, our RE leaders and other students who helped in leading our Ash Wednesday prayer services. Ash Wednesday is an important day in the Churches year so we could not go without recognising it. With google changing the number of people we could have in a meet we decided to run two prayer services at the last minute. As you are aware Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent, a time we prepare for the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Parish Education Board
For those who are unaware, the Parish Education Board meets termly to discuss the education need of the schools in our Parish. There are currently positions available on the board. If you are interested in joining please email me bgrace@sbedesbn.catholic.edu.au by Friday 26 Feb with your interest.
District Swimming
During the week, Mr Price sent out an email to parents and guardians , whose children indicated they wanted to try out for the team, outlining the process for selecting the swimming team for the district swimming carnival. Unfortunately due to lockdown we were unable to run the trials last Monday
If you have any questions please contact Mr Price.
5/6 School Camp
This years 5/6 camp to Canberra has had to be cancelled due to COVID and the possibility of lockdowns occurring at any given time. A bush camp on the outskirts of Melbourne has been arranged for Term 2. The Yr 5/6 teachers will provide further information shortly.
Open Day
Our school open day will take place on Thursday 18th March from 9.00am-1.00pm. Please invite any friends, family or neighbours who have a child eligible to start school in 2022 to come along and see our wonderful school in action.
Enrolments for Prep 2022 are now open. If you have a child who is eligible to start Prep in 2022 please make contact with the school office to complete an enrolment form. As an existing family with siblings in the school you are our first priority for enrolment. It is important that we know our incoming Prep siblings so we know how many places we can offer to new families. Offers for placements for Prep for 2022 will be sent out in May
