Middle C News

Leading up to Lent Middle C have been looking at scripture about Jesus. Students have looked at Mk 1:12-15 - a reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark. In this scripture Jesus was tempted in the desert, but stood up for what He believed.

As a class we explored the question - Do you stand up for what you believe ? We linked the scripture and the above question about how we can be like Jesus and step up with our beliefs and our Catholic identity at this school.

The following is what members of Middle C stand up for.

Say no to bullying.

Say no to racism.

Say no to peer pressure.

Say no to pollution.

Say no to taking other people’s property.

Step up and help someone who is hurt.

Step up and help someone in need.

Step up and be your best.

Step up and take time to pray to God.

Step up and help the environment.

Step up and care for animals.

Step up and experience other cultures.

Step up and say sorry when you have done wrong, do something about it.

Step up and admit when you are wrong - it’s O.K, everyone makes mistakes!

Step up and change your mindset.

Step up and make a difference.

Step up and be respectful to others.

Step up

 and challenge yourself.

Alicia and Sophie Toscano and Gisele Carbonarta have very kindly offered to coach the 3/4 team at their matches and organise the subbing on and off etc.
Alicia, Gisele and Sophie are past students of St Kevin's and great basketballers and I am sure they will do an excellent job.
