Geography News

On the 3rd of March, 60 Year 12 Geography students traveled to Docklands with Ms Allison, Mr Jay and Sharni to investigate how the land uses have changed in this region.

Well done to all the students who worked so hard during the day to take photos and collect data for their major Fieldwork Report assessment!

Thank you for all your hard work!! ~ Ms Allison, Geography Leader

Unit 1 GEO Kinglake Fieldwork

One the 9th of March, a cold and wet autumn morning, the two Unit 1 Geography classes went out to Kinglake to conduct research on the impacts and recovery of the region 12 years on from the devastation of Black Saturday.

Despite the fog being so thick heading up the mountain that we could only see a bus length ahead of us, Mr Blennerhassett, Mr Calwell and Isobel had a great day with the students who worked hard on collecting data for their assessment task.

The weather cleared up and it turned in to an awesome day. Here are some photos of groups in action.
