Faith

St Anthony's School Values

In Faith, we will show:

     Respect

     Empathy

     Inclusion

     Excellence

Our school values have been updated this year. There has been much work done on basing these values on St Anthony's teachings and they will be embedded in every aspect of our school life.

Faith is the foundation of all that we endeavour to do.  It is our Catholic Faith that underpins our ethos, our learning and teaching, our daily activities and our commitment to our students and their families.  Faith is incorporated in our curriculum through Religious Education, Prayer time, Christian Meditation and whole school Prayer Liturgy.  It is engaging in Catholic traditions and rituals such as celebrations of Easter and Christmas and our belief in Jesus Christ, His Life, Death and Resurrection that we grow stronger in our faith.

Respect is shown through giving everyone an equal opportunity to contribute to sharing ideas and thoughts and to be listened to while being valued.  It is in being accepting of others and accepting of their opinions and beliefs, that respect is truly demonstrated.

Empathy is shown through a lens of caring and understanding.  "To walk in someone else's shoes" is to experience their story, their feelings, their joys, their hurt and their disappointments.  It is understanding a shared experience.

Inclusion is shown through allowing everyone, regardless of their background, culture, race, creed etc., to be part of our community and for them to know that they are valued.  Inclusion is unconditional; we are made to feel that we belong.

Excellence is shown through our passion, commitment to learning and our high expectations to strive for the best in all that we pledge to achieve.  We work together and encourage our students and staff to do the best of their ability with 'Growth Mindset'.

God Bless,
