Curriculum Update

Hello everyone, it is fantastic to see our school buzzing with all of our students back onsite after what seemed an eternity! Our teachers have planned exciting and engaging tasks for this term.

Our focus this fortnight is on STEM

STEM has been a wonderful addition to our teaching & learning program in 2020, and the excitement of the students (and Janine!) during STEM classes is evidence of the curiosity and wonderment created by actually being able to explore STEM concepts by using tools such as programmable and intractable robots and coding programs.

Some quotes below from our students sum up the feelings of our students about STEM!

I really enjoy the STEM lessons. My favourite part is when we get to play with the Bee Bots which is really fun and it also helps me to learn about left and right - Imogen, Prep C

STEM is great because we get to explore and experiment in groups to solve a problem without the teacher just telling us the answer. It is really interesting - Esha, Grade 5

Science is my favourite part of STEM because I have done experiments that I have not done before and I also have to solve problems, such as making a marble run that works effectively - Lila, Grade 5

We look forward to a fabulous Term 4.

Take Care & Kind Regards,
