Digital Technology  News

As you all know, we will be completing remote learning for the rest of term, so it is still important to think about how to keep your children safe while using technology. Check in with your child, ask them what they are doing and create routines and expectations around technology. It is important that you know what they are doing when working online.

The new restrictions have brought about new challenges,  especially the challenge of being able to find new ways to keep the children occupied. For those who are not aware, Zoo's Victoria have created a live zoo for us to enjoy from the comfort of our own home. There are 24/7 live streams of Snow Leopards, Giraffes, Lions, Penguins, Zebras and much more! This could be something fun you could do as a family. So to enter the world of behind the scenes excitement at the zoo, click on this link.

In the last newsletter I mentioned that we have set up an eSafety form. This form is available for parents to fill in when they have any questions or concerns around their child's safety online. I will be checking the eSafety form regularly and contacting those parents who need it. Please note, that this form is not for technical support. It is for those times when you are worried, concerned or unsure if your child is engaging with something they should not be, or if you have a question about online safety.

We are continuing to offer any technical support to those who need it through our technicians at Source Central. Our technician Matt is available on Tuesdays but we strongly recommend that (if required) you call the help desk from Monday to Friday on the number listed below, as they can support you remotely as well.
