Nursery 2

Story time-The very hungry caterpillar

"The very hungry caterpillar" was the most voted story during our story time. We extended this story to various creative activities in order to enhance multiple skills of our  children. They learnt the names of the fruits and food included in the story ( apple, plums, strawberries, pears, ice cream, cheese etc).

Everybody participated enthusiastically in designing the characters of our story, the caterpillar and the butterfly. These activities helped to improve their creativity, fine motor skills and self regulation.

Super Heroes to the rescue...!!

Superhero day at the centre had a good response from the children and many of them dressed-up like their favourite characters. This was an opportunity for children to pose themselves as their loved superhero characters in the movies and cartoons such as Batman, Spider man and Captain America. Nursery 2 s met their siblings dressed-up as superheroes during their outdoor play time.

Construction activities

Children in the Nursery 2 room is showing their interest in block building and other construction activities. They show their growing competence in fine motor skills, creativity and imagination while manipulating the blocks and construction toys. Children seem to amazingly focus and concentrate in these construction activities. We are offering them various blocks and construction toys in order to improve their emotional regulation skills too.  Ability to regulate emotions affects in long terms in their life and it is a significant skill that needs to develop in children at their early ages.

Outdoor play

We continue to offer outdoor time for children. They proceed to grow their physical skills and peer relationships during the unstructured play times in the outdoor area. This time helps them to follow their natural instincts and create their own play opportunities through natural curiosity.
