P-2's Exciting Week of Online Learning!

This week we celebrated our precious Prep's 100 days of school. What a day! Although it looked a little bit different this year, it was still filled with exciting activities, lots of enthusiasm and very big smiles. The day started with a special virtual check-in, a fun trivia game and a look back at some wonderful moments shared in Prep. It was then time for African Drumming (see below). In-between events, the students completed activities relating to the number 100. Frankie and Amy, along with others, even got to bake and enjoy yummy treats to celebrate their special day.  The Preps have learnt and grown so much in their first 100 days, we can't wait to see what 200 days will bring!

To help celebrate the Prep's 100 days of learning, the P-2 students participated in an African Drumming and Dance Workshop. They had so much fun learning about African culture and traditional rhythm, song and dance.

P-2 Storytime

Here are some of the fantastic responses from P-2 students after listening to this week's Storytime with Ann. The book was called Three by Stephen Michael King and is another book that is shortlisted for this year's CBCA awards. Three is about a 3-legged dog who finds a new friend. The story explores themes of difference, belonging and gratitude.

Year Five/Six Maths

As part of our Maths 3D Shapes unit, the Grade 5/6s became designers and had to build their own city or town, using the nets of 3D shapes. The students all used our school Learning Disposition of Creativity, as all of the towns look different and all have their own unique features! It is great to see a mix of bustling cities with tall buildings, beachside towns and residential areas. (Amanda)
