Messages from our Learning Levels...
There is a lot to look forward to in Term 3! Have a read of your child's year level section below to see any events and excursions occurring in Term 3.
What Are We Learning?
Usually in the first iNewsletter of each term, year levels share an overview of what they will be learning. We have had requests for this information to be available throughout the term, rather than just at the beginning. Therefore, we will place a termly overview for each year level on Compass on the first day of term.
These can be accessed in 2 ways:

Parent Volunteers
On Monday July 31st, our Year 1 students will embark on an exciting excursion to Scienceworks. As we prepare for this enriching experience, we invite our Year 1 families to express their interest in volunteering and providing support. If you would like to participate, please send an email to Miss Laura at laura.kelly@smps.vic.edu.au.
Homework
Our Year 1 students demonstrated a strong homework routine in Term 2, completing their 1 lesson of Mathseeds and 4 nights of reading each week. We are hoping they can continue this into Term 3 with your ongoing support. Please note that Sunday is the start of a new week when completing Mathseeds. Please ensure your child only completes one lesson during the week.

We were very lucky that in Term 2 98% of Year Six students were successful in completing homework and signing diaries. We are thankful for your support and we look forward to seeing that 2% reach the expectation this term. We are excited to see you all back in school for another fantastic term!
