MATHS WEEK

Monday the 27th March, sees the start of Maths Week, a week filled with fun activities to celebrate maths and the impact it has on our lives. 

 

We have a full calendar of events for staff, students and parents to enjoy. Please see the timetable below for a list of activities that will be occurring. 

 

MONDAY

P-2 = The Maths Show - interactive maths performance

3-6 = The Amazing Race - maths incursion

 

WEDNESDAY

House Maths Afternoon

 

THURSDAY 

MATHS DRESS UP DAY AND FAMILY MORNING

All students can dress up in something to do with mathematics. Think shapes, symbols, numbers, and measures.  Let your imagination run wild! 

 

9 am - Costume Parade in the Hall

9:30 am - Families welcome into the classroom for a fun maths morning with their children.

 

There will also be some competitions running throughout the week: 

 

Matific - students will be encouraged to log into Matific and collect as many stars on their Adventure Island as possible.  The class with the most stars at the end of the week will get a prize.

24 - Senior students will be involved in a 24 competition. A card game requiring them to use the four operations to get 4 numbers to equal to 24 as quickly as possible.
