Year 5 and 6 INCURSION

This week the Year 5 and 6’s hosted one of our Year 1 parents to share his experiences as a refugee from South Sudan who had to flee his homeland, separate from his family and live for an extensive period of time in a refugee camp. Our students (and teachers) were engrossed in his story and we thank Nyok and Kathryn for sharing this with us. It helps our students become a little more worldly, and empathetic to place themselves in the shoes of another, and to understand the struggles that others may go through.

The session finished off with some cultural dancing which was enjoyed by all the students.
