Year 3/4 Athletics Day and Cross Country

Well done to all of our students who participated in the Year 3/4 Athletics Day and Cross Country events in the last two weeks. It is always great to see our students participate in these events and give them an opportunity to develop their sporting skills, and a chance to succeed as well. The Year 5/6 Athletics Day was unfortunately postponed due to wet weather but will occur now on Monday 15th May. A big thank you to our PE teachers, Nicole Purcell and Renee Drury for organising these events, as well as to all the teachers that helped to run these events as well.

Oval Update

Over the last two weeks compaction and sealing works have occurred, preparing the base of the oval for gravel and other infill that will build up the oval surface for the synthetic turf surface. It is great to see the footprint of the new oval become visible (see picture below). More works are expected to continue over the holidays such as removing excess soil and starting to infill the oval base.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Thank you to our parents that attended school for Parent / Teacher Interviews earlier in the week. It was lovely to see so many parents back onsite after three years of COVID disruptions and online interviews. Our next interviews will be towards the end of Term 3. These will be online. Into the future we aim to have the first interviews in Term 1 at school, while the second interviews in Term 3 will bonline via WebEx.

Happy Holidays

I hope all of our families have a safe and happy holidays. Thank you for your ongoing participation and support of the school throughout a busy Term 1. We look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday 24th April. Please note the day after school starts, Tuesday 25th April, is the ANZAC Day public holiday.
