Rubrics P-10

Used to inform teacher assessment and to provide students/parents with feedback on performance and areas for improvement.

To be provided to the students prior to the completion of the Assessment Task so that they are aware of what they are being assessed against.

Tests do not need to be marked against a rubric.

Rubrics must be uploaded on Learning Tasks in COMPASS and be developed using the standard template provided (see below for example) and include

Assessment in descending order (5/4/3/2/1/NS)
Capabilities
Victorian Curriculum Standards
2-3 key knowledge areas/skills that were demonstrated by the student
1-2 key knowledge areas/skills for improvement by the student
Student reflection

N.B. Digital rubrics can be created through Compass Learning Tasks. This is a KLA based decision. Other rubrics such as SOLO Rubrics and Formative Assessment Rubrics can be used for formative assessment pieces.
