The Art of Celebration

Times of celebration provide opportunities for all kinds of expression including through visual art. 

Students in the Primary School all worked collaboratively to provide the beautiful 

decorations enjoyed at our Whole School Assembly last Friday. Lots of learning and excitement ensued, and working in various modes such as collage, drawing and painting. 

It was delightful to see children work so co-operatively, including on the day itself, as they worked on painting the new mural under the Junior Primary rooms, and a vinyl record installation, which will be completed during this special year of commemoration. 

Well done MECS Primary Artists, and Alyce Vanderjagt and all the staff who joyfully helped facilitate all these endeavours.
