Bruce the Blue Tongue Lizard

Over the past 2 weeks we have had a visitor in the Library. Bruce, the Blue Tongue Lizard has been borrowed from the Nature Education Centre. 

Students have been learning about these local lizards , taking the opportunity to have a pat and watching Bruce eat and do a lot of sleeping. 

Some students have enjoyed sharing their work with Bruce who has prompted new words to add to their vocabulary and have been practising words relating to Bruce in their phonics classes.

Every Monday  we welcome our Preschool children to the library  to share a story, browse and borrow a book. This week they also had the opportunity to investigate our Library Lizard.
