Hockey Victoria Fees

For people who have paid their HV/HA fees for the 2020 season, HV have advised that there will be partial credits of these fees carried forward into the 2021 season.   We understand that the credits will be approximately equal to the fee paid less the $12 insurance element less the transaction charges incurred by HV.

HV anticipate emailing all the members concerned in the near future.

HV 2021 Competition.

Hockey Victoria is working on an overview of what the 2021 competition might look like, given the current environment and ongoing uncertainty.  A brief overview of the issues being considered are:

  1. Getting people playing hockey
  2. Starting early: perhaps in mid-March 2021
  3. Finishing late: late October 2021, this allows time to manage any unforseeable disruptions
  4. A break mid-competition: so families and individuals can plan mid year holidays (recognising this has not been possible in 2020)
  5. Flexibility around player eligibility and other regulations.

More information will be coming out over the next few weeks as HV consults widely with affiliates and clubs. We will be sure to keep you posted!

Sticks for Vics

Proving that it really does take a community to get through all of this, hockey associations and clubs all around Australia have been showing their support for Victorians in Stage 3 and 4 restrictions by making a 'V' with their sticks or in some cases themselves!  With the rest of the country resuming hockey activities, they know what a tough time it is for us.  Here are some examples of the support.
