International Students

We were excited to welcome our International students back onsite in Term Four after months of learning from home. It is clear that this year has been like no other in the past. Some students thrived but many have also struggled under the new conditions imposed upon them. We are committed as educators to support the continuity of students’ learning and their welfare especially as most were away from their own families and unable to even visit them during 2020. Our homestay hosts/guardians have done a wonderful job supporting our students and we would like to publicly thank them. A small token of our appreciation was sent home to our host families. Together, we become the students’ family away from home.

We further celebrated the students’ return by providing individual gifts of food during a socially distanced morning tea. This allowed our team to informally have relaxed conversations and to enable students to voice any concerns. Our Principal, Arthur Soumalias and Vice Principal, Chris Cogan also took the opportunity during this occasion to thank our Year 12 International students for remaining on task and focused on their upcoming exams. Our International Students Team wish them all the best for their exams and continuing pathways.
