Zonta Club of Bendigo Young Women in Public Affairs Award

Zonta International is a leading global organization empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. It envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognised as human rights, where every woman is able to achieve her full potential, and where no woman lives in fear of violence.

The Bendigo Zonta Club offers a number of scholarships and awards throughout the year, designed to recognise, encourage and support deserving young women to remain in, and excel at secondary or tertiary education, to be excellent citizens, and to achieve excellence in her chosen field.

The Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs Award aims to encourage young women to participate in public affairs. It recognises a commitment to the volunteer and civic sectors, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to empowering women through service and advocacy.

‘The scholarship itself is to the value of $750.00, and is open to any young woman aged 16-19, who has a proven history of involvement in Public Affairs. Applications must be received before the due date of Wednesday 5th February, 2020.
