Message from Principal Sarah

From Sarah Nightingale, Principal

Appreciations

As we head towards the end of the school year, we would like to extend our gratitude to all our families for their support this year. 2022 has been our first year of learning back onsite after a couple of difficult years in and out of remote learning, and while it has been challenging to rebuild our onsite stamina over the year, we want to acknowledge that the work we have achieved this year is a team effort – thank you to all our students, our staff and our families.

2023 Student Leadership Roles

As our Year 6 students transition into secondary school, we have the opportunity to welcome and develop our new school leaders.

We would like to acknowledge all Year 5 students who applied for the school leader roles. Whilst we understand there may be feelings of disappointment for the students who were not appointed, we believe that all students have demonstrated resilience in the process.

Our 2023 leaders will be announced on Tuesday at our end of year assembly, and we will have another assembly at the beginning of 2023 to formally announce these leaders into their role.

Another farewell and welcome to NMPS

We would like to extend our congratulations to Cat Coley who has secured a leadership position at another school in 2023. We thank Cat for her years of service to NMPS and wish her all the best.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Molly Power and Hailey Paynter to NMPS. Molly has been appointed as a classroom teacher and Hailey has been appointed as an EAL teacher and Literacy tutor. We look forward to working with Molly and Hailey.

2023 School Return Date

Our students in Year 1 to Year 6 will commence school on Monday 30th January 2023 and we will welcome our Prep students to school on Tuesday 31st February 2023.

We would like to wish everyone a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable summer holiday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the 2023 school year.

Once again, I send my thanks to everyone for their efforts throughout yet another extraordinary year!
