Principal's Report

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

Congratulations to Alex and Damien Keady on the recent arrival of Taya. Adara, year three, and Finn, year one, are already showing what a great big brother and sister they are!

Thanks to those families who were able to support students at our recent Athletics day. Certainly, the coldest one I have attended! It was great to see so much positive sportsmanship. Thank you to Michael Kearton and Josh Carr for their organization of the day.

This week we had a parent consultation meeting to view the first draft of our landscaping plans. Thanks to those parents who were able to attend. These are now being updated.

Both our landscaping plans and internal renovation plans will be shared in the office when available.

Learning Expo

This a reminder that our last Learning Expo is this coming Monday 5th December, 2:15 - 3:15 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to share work from the term and for parents and friends to see some of their wonderful learnings!

End-of-Year Picnic

As previously advertised our End of Year Picnic will take place next Thursday 8th December, beginning at 6:00 pm. This will take place at Beechworth Secondary College. Following our recent weather and feedback from the use of an indoor space last year, we have locked in the use of the wonderful facilities at the College again.

Reports

Reports will be released for you to view via PAM next Friday 9th December. Please contact the office if you would like a hard copy, these will be sent home Monday 12th December.

Graduation

Thanks to those who have RSVP for this evening. We will begin at 5:30 pm with a gathering in the Church, followed by dinner and presentations on the turf. This a reminder to please RSVP by Tuesday 6th via the office, for catering purposes.

2023 Staffing

Each year we review our class structures and student placements. There are many factors considered in this process, these range from student needs, student numbers, and well-being factors, to name a few. Our junior and senior teachers will plan and work together to ensure that student's academic progress and well-being needs are prioritized.

Following a review of the delivery of Italian through the Teachers as Co-Learners program in 2022, this will continue in 2023. We welcome back Bridget Woodward from maternity leave, who will be teaching STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) as a specialist subject.

We are excited to announce our 2023 Class Structures.
