Pastoral Care

Catholic education is centred upon the nurturing of the entire individual, and students thrive best in supportive environments in which they feel safe to discover and explore all of the possibilities available to them. As such, our Pastoral Care program for 2023 is preemptive and proactive, recognising the nuanced well-being needs of each year group to foster the social and emotional well-being of our students. Founded upon the College’s BRAVE acronym, our Pastoral Care Coordinators have designed a rigorous pastoral program to support our students in developing their sense of self - as courageous, conscientious and compassionate young women who recognise the power of their individual voice - and providing the skillsets to be resilient and successful in their endeavours.

The Pastoral Care Coordinators have hosted Welcome Evenings for each of their cohorts, and these have been a fantastic opportunity to obtain information about your daughter’s 2023 pastoral and academic programs, and meet with the Pastoral Care Teachers and Coordinators.

Our uniform is a source of pride at Brigidine College, and all students are reminded of the expectations detailed in the school diary. Unfortunately, at present, there appears to be a proliferation of false, extended and lifted eyelashes as well as multiple earrings in each ear. Thank you for supporting your daughter in upholding our uniform standards, and please do not hesitate to contact her Pastoral Care Coordinator if you have any questions or concerns.

Lastly, it is with the greatest pleasure that I join the Brigidine community as the Director of Pastoral Care. Having taught all-girls within both the Catholic and Independent education sectors, the students of Brigidine are among the most dedicated and driven young women I have encountered, and I very much look forward to working with them in fulfilling their amazing potential.

With blessings,

Kylie Bordignon-Hock

Director of Pastoral Care
