Semester 2, 2022 School Reports

School reports will be published on Sentral on Tuesday 6th December. If you would like a printed copy, please message your child’s homeroom teacher on Sentral.

Parent / Teacher Interviews 

Parents can request an interview with their homeroom teachers if you would like to further discuss their child’s report. Bookings can be made by contacting your child’s homeroom teachers via Sentral Messaging.

Whole School Transition Days – Tuesday 13th December and Thursday 15th December, 9:00 – 11:00am

We will be having our 2023 whole school transition during Week 11. The students will go to their new classrooms, meet their new teachers and work with their new peers. On this day, we are excited to welcome our new 2023 teachers. Students will find out who their 2023 teachers are on Monday afternoon (12th December).

Our year 6 students will also get the opportunity to visit their High Schools during this transition day.

2023 Leadership Presentation Assembly - Friday 16th December, 9:30 – 10:30am

Our 2022 school leaders will be handing over their leadership roles to our successful 2023 applicants. We invite all families to attend this important Newlands celebration. The presentation will begin at 9:30 on Friday 16th December. 

STOMP Dance Workshops - Friday 16th December, 12:00 – 2:00pm

To celebrate the end of our 2022 Specialist Program, STOMP dance group will be running dance workshops with all of our students on Friday 16th December. There is no cost involved for students attending. Below are the times:

Cultural Week Celebration – Friday 16th, 2:30 – 3:20pm

Also on Friday 16th December, we will be celebrating our Cultural Week event, celebrating Mexico. Students will be showcasing their learning from throughout the cultural week. We invite all families to come and join in the celebrations.

End of Year Assembly / Final Day – Tuesday 20th December, 12:30 – 1:20pm

On Tuesday 20th December at 1:00pm, we will have our end of year assembly. During this time, our Year 6 students will be farewelled, sharing some of their experiences at NPS, and performing for the school. As a whole school community, we will send off our Year 6 students with a guard of honour. All students will finish school at 1:30 on this day.

2023 Book Pack Day – Monday 23rd January, 10:00am – 1:00pm

On Monday 23rd January 2023, we will be holding our annual Book Pack Day. All families can come along with their child to collect their 2023 books. It was fantastic to see so many families last year on this day, and the teachers were impressed by the student’s creativity as they personalised their books before starting the new year. Families are also able to make the voluntary contributions for 2023 on this day. This will be a total of $280 that go towards much needed resourcing for 2023.

There will also be a sausage sizzle and some tunes playing so come on down and join in the fun.
