Indonesian Embassy Visit

Dignitaries visit from Canberra

From Timi Ardiyanti

On Friday, the 30th of April, delegates from the Indonesian embassy in Canberra and from the Indonesian Consulate in Melbourne visited Huntingtower.

The purpose of the visit was to acknowledge the Indonesian program at our school which is considered as one of the strongest if not the strongest in Australia.

The people from the Indonesian embassy also offered to strengthen the relationship between our school and the Indonesian government.

It was a privilege for the Huntingtower Indonesian Department to be visited by those dignitaries.

The delegates who visited us were:

Mr. Mohammad Syarif Alatas

          Vice Ambassador

Mr. Imran Hanafi

          Attaché of Education & Culture

Mrs. Muniroh

          Acting Consulate General

Mrs. Perthalia Rosul

          Consulate staff

The delegates were given a wonderful tour of Huntingtower, and even stopped by the STEM centre for a fun learning experience by science teacher Mr. Greg Hellard.

And fortunately for our Indonesian students, the delegates stopped by the classrooms to introduce themselves and answer questions!

A wonderful day - thank you to the dignitaries who shared their time with us!
