Tesla Electric Car at NHS for Science Week

We have been very lucky to have a famous Tesla electric car at the school. For Science Week, Cherry Energy Solutions provided a Tesla Model X (with the famous falcon wings), the most exhilarating SUV on the road, to the school for the staff and students to understand electric cars, how they work and the features and benefits – including no harmful emissions to our environment!

Many students had the opportunity to look over the car and actually sit inside and see what the future of cars looks like. They were surprised to find that under the bonnet was just another storage space, as the electric motor is much smaller than a combustion engine it fitted under this space.

Cherry Energy Solutions have been assisting with Northcote High School’s sustainability since March 2016 when we replaced high energy consuming lighting with energy efficient LED lighting. 

Northcote High are currently looking to do another lighting upgrade as well as potentially installing a large solar system to further reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
