5/6 Radio Awareness Incursion

On Wednesday 19th of May, the Grade 5/6 students had the privilege of working with John from Radio Awareness for Kids. Students worked in teams to create their own radio program with a variety of segments including jokes, weather, celebrity interviews and traffic reports. John even added sound effects throughout each show, with hilarious results. It was sensational to see students working together, demonstrating confidence and enjoying lots of laughs!

Student Pickup from Back Gate

Due to the large number of parents who are choosing to pick up students at the Game Street gate during afternoon pick up times, it is vital that parents assist younger students to access vehicles.  We are now posting a yard duty teacher at the gate to make sure students only leave the school grounds after their parents turn up.  To ensure the safety of all students, we strongly urge parents of younger children to leave their cars once they are parked and wait for children at the gate.  Parents can then safely escort children to their cars.

Prep /One Awards

Congratulations to the winners of the Prep/One Awards for last week.

Dogs on School Grounds

If you are bringing a dog to school at pick-up or drop-off times please make sure it is on a lead and that you wait outside the gate for your child/ren.  We have students with allergies and some students that are very nervous around dogs. Thank you.

School Pick up

At the end of the school day, parents are requested to wait outside Learning Centres while classes are still operating. If parents need to speak with a teacher please contact Heather Collihole on 50252501 and a time will be arranged. The primary end of day bell is at 3:12pm.

Before School

Families please be aware that students who arrive at school before 8.40am can go to the Breakfast Club, held in the Canteen from 8.15am. Alternatively, they may sit on the seats at the back of the Green Building until 8.40am.  Students are not to play out the front of the Green Building until 8.40am when the front playground is supervised and the doors of the Green Building are opened.

Lost Property

We have a LOT of primary jumpers in our lost property.  If your child is missing a jumper please tell them to ask Mrs Collihole if it is in lost property.

There are also a LOT of containers and drink bottles too.

Naming Articles

Please remember it is very important to name all your children’s property clearly, especially hats and jumpers, bags, drink bottles and lunch containers.

Severe Food Allergies

There are students at the school with severe food allergies.  Please remind your child that their food is not to be shared.
