CAREERS

Our senior year students will be busy next term with many career related activities taking place.

Our Year 9 students will participate in the My Careers Insights program.  Students will be given the opportunity to complete a series of questionnaires and quizzes accessed through the Morrisby website. They will then discuss their results with a Morrisby-trained Careers Consultant in a 30-minute interview. Guardian consent is required - forms were sent home recently and need to be returned as soon as possible.

Our Year 9 students will also participate in a Real Industry Job Interview (RIJI) program coordinated by the Inner Northern Local Learning and and Employment Network (INLLEN). These interviews will take place at Fitzroy Town Hall on Thursday 29 July.

Year 10 Careers week was postponed from term #2 and will now take place between Monday 26 - Friday 30 July with students participating in activities to learn more about senior school, subject selection and career exploration. This will include a Senior Programs Information Night on Thursday 29 July (watch Compass for more information about this event).

All students from year 9 - 12 are encouraged to check out the 2021 Open Day schedules and to make time to participate in on campus or online Open Day activities.  A list of Open Days can be found on the Collingwood Careers website .

The Collingwood Careers website also has a full calendar of events showing careers related information sessions, webinars, workshops and other opportunities available for all students.

Year 12s will have the opportunity to meet with me in term 3 and in class presentations will support them through the VTAC application process. Visit the VTAC website for more information.  There is a page specifically for Year 12 students.

Looking forward to all of these activities in term 3.
