From the Principal

                                                                           Therese Stewart

Dear Families,

WE ARE BACK AT SCHOOL TOMORROW!

The children and staff will be back at school tomorrow after the announcement by the Acting Premier and the Chief Health Officer yesterday to ease restriction in Melbourne from 11:59 tonight.

The last two weeks may have been challenging but I want to thank all parents and carers for your support over this time.  The children's learning has continued, albeit in a different way but they have continued to have the opportunity to remain connected to their teachers and to each other.  Thank you for the time given to your children and thank you to the staff of Our Lady's for their hard work in making this as 'easy' as possible.

We will continue to play close attention to hygiene in and around the school.  All visitors to the site must check in using the Service Victoria QR code and everyone must wear masks when indoors.  This seems to be our new normal wherever we go at the moment and it will be no different here at school.  We will once again move to restrict parents and visitors from coming inside to classrooms.  If you are visiting the school office you must remember to QR code in, no doubt Liz or Loretta will give you a friendly reminder.

Our Parent Teacher Meetings will now be conducted using Zoom on Thursday the 24th June. The children will finish at 1pm on the day.   Next week we will send details to parents regarding the booking of your appointment time. Your child's report will come home prior to this time as it will be a point of discussion.  If you are unable to collect your children at 1pm on that day we will have supervision in place.

May your lives return to being a little more normal now that the children are back at school and restrictions somewhat eased.

Don't forget to go to our Wellbeing page and read our Wellbeing Leaders contribution to the newsletter this week around remote learning.  Thank you Ally and Sam!

A reminder Monday is a public holiday.  May you enjoy the longer weekend without the stress or pressure of remote learning looming in the background!

Until next week

Therese
