Can You Believe It!

It is incredible to think that we are at the end of Term 2 and heading into our 3 week holiday program.  So many things to celebrate together as a learning community.  As a Leadership Team, we spent time this week reflecting on the things that we give thanks for.

"Let joy by your continual feast.  Make your life a prayer.  And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God's perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus."

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

We give God thanks for:

  • Relationships with our families and the precious children we work alongside each day.
  • The strength found within the unique qualities and gifts of our staff.
  • The answered prayer around provision and health.
  • Mrs Childs and Mrs B completing their Diploma Studies.
  • The beautiful bonds our children have with each other.
  • The growth of our Centre as we welcome 9 new friends in Term 3.

As I look over photos of this term, it is incredible to see the research and work that has gone into many of our learning projects.

A simple paper mask has led to an array of Papier-mâché creations used to create movies with the children bringing their characters to life.

The wonder around how big dinosaurs are, bringing to life an exploration of measurement and the creation of 'Dino-be Kind.'  The re-purposing of resources turning a castle into a car!  Yes, that is a chicken on the roof!

A playful time with shadows outside being expressed in the use of light exploration, the refraction of light amongst amazing cup constructions and glorious towers so finely balanced.

I commend our team to you, as each day I hear the conversations that they have with each other throughout their days on how amazing our children are.  They are responsive to the needs of each child, offering authentic exchanges that speak directly into the ideas and experiences they are seeking.

As we head into the holidays, the Lead Educators for each team are creating your child's 'Mid Year Reflection' report which will be published on Storypark by the end of the holiday period.  We look forward to sharing these with you and hearing any comments or goals that you might like to partner with us in next term.

I pray that your holidays be safe and memorable.  If we don't see you during the holidays, we look forward to welcoming you back on July 19.  Please remember that we are closed next Monday and Tuesday.

Blessings,

Jacqui
