FETE INFORMATION

Just under 6 months to go!!!!

Dear families and friends, we hope that you are all safe and surviving lockdown #4

Sponsorship/Prizes

Everyone can help in some way shape or form, you may know of someone who can sponsor us or donate goods or services.  We are currently looking for major prizes for our raffle so if you have any contacts or ideas please contact our Sponsorship Coordinator Denham Martil denham.martil@gmail.com to arrange.

Fundraising

The fete relies heavily on sponsorship and donations to ensure a successful outcome. However, the events over the past 18 months is making it extremely difficult for us to gain sponsorship and donations, money we heavily rely on to pay for our rides and raffle prizes.

So we turn to our school community for help, we are not asking for money we are just asking for 50 minutes of your time on Friday 18th June at 6pm, 7pm or 8pm to take part in meat taste test. If we can get 60 people to this event we receive $1,000 which is an enormous help.

We appreciate asking 60 people in such a small school is a big ask but family and friends are welcome to come along and support our school. It could be the meeting place before heading down to the Hawker Bar for a drink and catchup after this snap lockdown!

Refer to the flyer below for more details, otherwise please book in for your session by 6pm Friday 11th June via the following link https://www.trybooking.com/BRGHT

Fundraising has been successful so far, we thank you for your contributions, whether you purchased some loo rolls or bought the kids a hot dog, it all adds up.  *Unfortunately we were not able to run the hot dog lunch last Friday so we will be returning everyone’s money and hope to organise another lunch soon.

Stall helpers

Thank you to everyone who filled out the Operoo form sent out earlier this year. If you have volunteered to manage or help out with a stall at the fete, we will be in touch with you closer to the date to clarify your role and what we require from you.

Thank you to Sally Forbes and Sarah Duddy who will be the Stall Coordinators this year.

If you did not fill in the Operoo, however, you wish to help with managing or working on a stall, please contact us at stagnesschoolfete@gmail.com and we will happily find you a job.  We will be posting details about specific roles that still need to be filled as the fete gets closer, so keep your eyes out for anything you might be able to help with.

Donations

‘One man’s Trash is another man’s Treasure’

The Trash & Treasure is one of the most popular and successful stalls on the day. This lockdown period is a perfect time to start cleaning out your cupboards and gathering all your unwanted items for donation to our Trash and Treasure stall. We will also be looking for pre-loved books to sell at our book stall. We will let you know when you can start dropping these items off at school soon.

Thanking you in advance,

Clare Inwood and Fiona Newington on behalf of the Fete Committee.

Keep calm and breathe!
