Learning Centre Overviews

Please see below an overview from each Learning Centre regarding learning that will be part of Term Three, both on Specialist Days and every other day of the week. Please see your child's Learning Centre Leader if you have any questions.

YMCA Anglesea Outdoor Education

As part of our Year three/Four Health and Physical program and our Inquiry Unit " Health is Wealth" we began our 3 day program on Thursday at Anglesea. The weather god was kind to us and being in nature was a beautiful and tiring experience. We are thankful for the parents who assisted us and we look forward to our future days in mid August.

Woolworths Food Excursion

This week each Year Three/Four Class has visited out local Woolworths to get a behind the scene view of a supermarket and an understanding of where our fruit and vegetables come from and the variety we have to fuel our growing bodies. Remember all learning groups encourage children to have a selection of fruit or raw vegetables to eat throughout the day to keep their young brains fuelled.

We are thankful for Woolworths donating our learning centre a selection of fruit as you can see from these pictures.

Picasso's Cow

Jennifer is still with us! Our Picasso cow, affectionately named Jennifer has been transformed to a wonderfully colourful creation. Congratulations to Kylie and the students for creating an absolute masterpiece. 'Jennifer' will hopefully be on display at Bunnings or around Werribee as part of the Dairy Industry Promotion of Dairy as an integral part of our healthy diet. 'Jennifer' will eventually 'graze' permanently at OLSC
