Telstra Kids

<html><body>

This July, Telstra Kids is excited to be supporting Moonhack, our annual space-themed event held on the anniversary of the moon landing to encourage kids to learn how to code. The event is an initiative of Telstra Foundation and Code Club Australia. Last year, we broke the world record with 35,000 kids across the planet coding together. This year, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, we’re calling on the Telstra Kids community to join our mission and help us break this record again.

This year OLSC students will be invited to take part in the Moonhack. Bec has already organised registration for them and we look forward to joining the Code Club.

Please Help!

This year all of the students at OLSC were lucky enough to go on an excursion to the Werribee Zoo. What most students and our community didn't know was that it happened because of initiatives and grants that were applied for and we were lucky enough to receive.

Next Telstra Kids grant round

Telstra Kids grant round will open in October 2019. As per previous rounds, all eligible* Telstra employees will be able to register their interest for a $1,200 Telstra Kids grant on behalf of a local school.  Then, through a “lottery-style” allocation process, a random selection of employees that lodged their registration by our deadline will be invited to complete the grants process.

If YOU or someone you know well works for Telstra (any department), please find out if they would be willing to apply for this grant for us. For any questions or suggestions please email Bec btardrew@olscwyn.catholic.edu.au
