New Staff

Hello my name is Sarah Caddy. I have lived in East Gippsland for 25 years and teach in both primary and secondary schools as an Instrumental Music teacher. I am excited to once again be part of the wonderful Music Program at BSC. I absolutely love the water, beach, walking and live music. Time on our boat is my happy place.

Hello, I am Lucy Wells. I recently moved into this part of regional Victoria, and I have been busy exploring the area during the holidays.

During my time as a teacher, I have taught in the UK, New Zealand and now in Australia.

I have a cat who came with us from New Zealand. His name is Chicken and he spends his days lazing on the deck.

Hello my name is Kym Brand, I have joined BSC working in Health and PE.

The reason I chose BSC and East Gippsland was for the beautiful lakes, access to the bush, snow, water activities and to be closer to my extended family.

BSC is a larger school that is making some great positive changes, it will be exciting to be part of this journey.

Hi, my name is Chloe Pama. I am a Food Technology teacher from Melbourne. I moved back to East Gippsland to be closer to family, friends and beautiful seafood.

I absolutely love cooking and sharing it with family and friends.

Hello there! My name is Ilsé Botha pronounced as “eel-se” or Australian nickname people gave me - Izzy - and I’ve joined the BSC Science and Maths team. I was born in South Africa but left soon after obtaining my degree. I’ve been fortunate enough to have taught in 2 different countries previously and absolutely loved learning new languages, cultures, and people. I am absolutely obsessed with traveling, hiking and anything to do with the beach and ocean, two of my biggest travel achievements – hiking to Everest Base Camp and Gorilla Trekking in Uganda. I am excited to explore this beautiful country and meet more amazing people!

Hello, my name is Kiara Berry. I have joined BSC working in the PE office as the new Sport Assistant for 2023. I love everything sport and health and cannot wait to join all the students on their sport and outdoor education events.

Hello my name is Sam McGregor. I have joined BSC working in PE/Outdoor. I grew up in Blackburn with my family and younger sister and went to university at ACU in the city. The reason I chose BSC and East Gippsland was for a change of scenery and to be closer to the water.  I love to spend my free time swimming, camping and being with my friends.

Hi all, my name is Connor McMahon and I've joined BSC in the science team. I grew up on the Mornington Peninsula, started teaching in Melbourne and have now gone for the big tree change! I've got a lovely little Spoodle at home, and really enjoy camping and hiking so I'm looking forward to exploring the area.

My name is Ashley Jarvis and I will be teaching drama and humanities here at Bairnsdale Secondary. As a long term resident of East Gippsland I am committed to the area and understand the importance of providing a wealth of educational opportunities for our young people. Aside from Drama my hobbies include kayaking and helping my children find their lost socks and shoes.
