My first night at MITS

My first night at MITS was very nice. When we got to the boarding house we put all of our stuff up the stairs and went to the campfire where Uncle Colin was getting ready to start the Smoking Ceremony. I saw lots of new people and some people I already knew. We waited some time to find out who was in our rooms. When we found out I was looking for Yulkirri as I had never met her before, I went around asking and found a lovely girl that I will live with for a whole term.

She was so nice and funny and we both started setting our stuff up and unpacking. When we were done we started to get to know each other. We talked for a bit and then went downstairs for some dinner. It was yummy. I loved it . Then we called our families and told them that we got to Melbourne safely and said good night because we had to lock our phones up. All the girls started to get what we were going to wear to bed ready then had our shower. Some of the boarding staff came up the stairs with gift baskets and then we went to sleep.

My first week in Melbourne was okay but then I started getting homesick and I was missing family.

Week 2 I was not homesick and I’m not getting homesick this week and that worked! I thought the weekend was going to be boring but when we went to the beach it was super fun and my sister Lulu came to visit me and check in on how I was going.

Week 3 is the best so far because Lulu is going to give me money to go shoppipng and we might go to the beach again.

To my best friend Allina: who is always there whenever I need her.  

If I'm homesick she will always find a way to cheer me up. She always has my back and I always have hers, we have a lot in common we both like reading and we love watching movies and we also love hearing the birds sing.

I think last week when Tenielle slept at Lockington it was at night time when me, Allina and Tenielle were playing a game where we all put water in our mouths and the last one to laugh wins.

Although we only met three weeks ago it feels like we have known each other forever!
