Welcome to all the families in this wonderful community, a special mention to all of the new families joining SFX. I look forward to meeting all of you throughout the year. There will be many wonderful opportunities and experiences this year to connect as a community.  

Coffee Connect 

I would like to invite the families from Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2  to join us for morning tea on the dates below at Flower Power Enfield. There is a café where you can purchase food and coffee. Ms Carlo-Stella will also be attending.

Dates are as follows:

Kindergarten - Friday  10th March  9:20am

Year 1 - Friday  17th March 9:20am

Year 2 - Friday 24th March 9:20am

Season of Lent 

The season of Lent is fast approaching. It is a time we set aside each year to remember the love of God that is poured out through Christ Jesus on the cross in His death and His defeat of death. Through Christ's death and resurrection that brings Eternal Life to you.

During this season of Lent I offer you a space just to be. Join me at 2:30pm on the seats in the Allison Street reserve.

Parent Excursion

The St Francis Xavier parents are invited to join me for a special excursion to the Chinese Garden of Friendship, a tranquil retreat in the middle of Darling Harbour. As the students will be exploring and learning about healthy friendships this term, this excursion allows parents to connect and build healthy friendships and build on our wonderful sense of community.

Details are as follows;

Thursday 2nd March 

Meet at the front entrance of the Gardens at 10am 

Pier St,cnr Harbour St, Darling Harbour 

We also have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at The Gardens by Lotus 

Is the restaurant within the grounds of the Chinese Garden, Yum Cha style

Each Wednesday we will meet in the hall at 9:10am. All parents need to sign in and out via the office. 

Wellness Walk 

All are welcome to join me for a wellness walk around the local area. Together let's slow down, start the day with movement and enjoy the surrounding beauty.  Let's meet on the church steps at 9:00am. Weather permitting.

The Bake & Share Project 

During the season of Lent we are asked to ‘Give’. This can be in the form of helping people that are less fortunate than us. These people may be homeless or perhaps they will be alone during Easter. We would like to share our Easter joy, celebrating Jesus’ Resurrection with them. 

We are asking families to fill a takeaway container with cookies that you can bake together as a family. Spend time with your family and make the cookies with love and purpose. 

We  ask that all cookies are nut-free. You can bake a family favourite or another option is  to fill a container with individually wrapped Easter treats. Feel free to decorate the container with some Easter cheer. 

Please return the filled container to the school office by Friday 31st March.

The containers are given to St Vincent De Paul’s night patrol at Lewisham, where they will be handed out. Together as a community let us share the Easter message that Jesus is risen.

Arts and Craft 

This week year 3 students enjoyed creating beautiful love heart craft during lunch to celebrate the upcoming feast day of St Valentine. Great work.
