House Swimming Carnival

Once again the start of the school year has been extremely busy and exciting in Physical Education.  This year’s swimming carnival season commenced with great anticipation with 90 eager Vermont Primary School students participating in our annual school swimming trials on Thursday 9th February at the Croydon Memorial Pool.

Students had the opportunity to compete in the individual 50m freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly events.  At the completion of our school trials, a team of 26 students were selected to represent Vermont Primary School at the Nunawading District Swimming Carnival.  I would like to thank all students for their outstanding behaviour at the pool.

Congratulations to the Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6 students who represented Vermont Primary School at the Nunawading District Swimming Carnival on Monday 20th February.   The children swam with great enthusiasm and displayed wonderful sportsmanship with many students achieving personal bests on the day.

I’m extremely pleased to inform the school community that Vermont Primary School won the Nunawading District Swimming Carnival Championship and Aggregate Shields.  Thank you to all of the parents and teachers who came along to support the children and help them prepare for their events.

School Swimming

The bus arrived at Croydon swimming pool and everyone was anxious and excited. There were six schools competing and lots of ducks racing. It was a blast but the day went really fast.

Thank you, Mr Walsh and all students of Vermont for your hard work and efforts towards the swimming. We did really well and also won the shield. We are very excited for division. J
