House Reveal 

Over the past year, student and staff House leaders have been working hard to update our House System at the college. At the end of last year you all used your student voice to help us decide whether we should change our house names. Students showed great creativity in their mentoring classes to suggest possible themes, names, and logos for our future houses. We used these suggestions to create a short list that aligned with our school values of respect, learning, and working together. The house leader team investigated other schools house systems and worked with the school leadership team to determine the two key themes that would best represent our houses. This has taken a lot of hard work from both student and staff leaders and we are so excited to reveal our new House names. All of you were given the opportunity to have your say and share what you wanted for the future of our Houses. The overwhelming consensus was that you wanted influential Australians and elements of the Earth. In our weekly planning meetings and through student and staff forums, we took this into consideration in our planning and decided, why not have both? So we have connected the two, linking one of the influential Australian people with an element of the Earth to give us the best of both worlds and reflect student and staff voice.

HOUSE LOGO COMPETITION

Now that we finally know the names of the houses, we need logos.  This competition is so exciting. So, during this upcoming holiday, you will get the time to design a logo. Keeping  in mind that your logo should match up with your influential Australian and your element, and we all know red is going to have the best logo. Anyways make sure its neatly done and as professional as possible as you will be going up against other students designs.  The winner of the logo competition will then meet up with a digital designer to help with polishing up the design, plus you will get to be a part of the production process for the school merchandise which will have YOUR logo designs on it.  Make sure its neatly done and as professional as possible as you'll be going up against other students designs. Motto Competition:
