Term 3 - Mrs Raaymakers
‘Remember, happiness doesn’t depend upon who you are or what you have; it depends solely upon what you think.
So start each day by thinking of all the things you have to be thankful for.
Your future will depend very largely on the thoughts you think today.
So think thoughts of hope and confidence and love and success.’
(Dale Carnegie - Writer/Lecturer)
Inspirational quotes and art encourage children to think deeply and inspire a positive mindset.
Creative expression helps children articulate their thoughts and feelings.
Each fortnight I will be publishing two quotes. I encourage you to discuss the meaning of the quotes with your child/children.
Try to find the relevance in your childs life and come up with ideas of how they can action the quote within their own lives.
I welcome any explanation, drawings or photo of any other creative expression related to either quote and will be publishing them in the following newsletter.
Quote No. 1 (with example):
Be kind whenever possible.
It is always possible.
(Dalai Lama - Spiritual Leader)
Kate Grade 1
Asking someone to play when they are on their own.
Kelli Grade 5
I think this quote means that there should never be a reason where you should not be kind to a person or animal.
Treat people the way you want to be treated.
Quote No. 2:
'If you can dream it, you can do it.
(Walt Disney - Animator/Writer/Film Producer)
