Principal's Page

This week's newsletter is mainly around Covid19.

Thank you all for playing your part in helping us to get through the challenges of living and learning under level 4 Lockdown, and helping stop its spread.

First my thanks to our awesome staff. Everyone is doing their bit and their best - I am truly proud of every one of them.

Second, my thanks to you and your children - for your patience, engagement and resilience.

We are really missing our children, and our children are missing their school - see photo of Arohi at left for example.

Learning is continuing, and it fills me with pride when I watch the videos our teachers have shared to Seesaw, checked out the Learning Timetables for all of our teams, and enjoyed the learning responses shared by our children - eg this from Kelly in year two.

Learning is not just for children. As I have shared many times, I love to learn. I am always reading, always trying to challenge and better myself.

I also happen to love my motorcycle, so this picture that shows a love of reading, learning and motorcycles seems perfect to share.

If you are doing it tough under Level 4 Lockdown you are not alone.

There are no prizes for doing it tough at the expense of your wellbeing. The Covid19 page in this newsletter provides you with a range of supports and support services that are available to you.

I hope they will be of help and use to at least some of our community

PS - A few parents have emailed me re various issues and this is all good. I am happy to be asked anything. While I can't guarantee I'll have the answers, I will try to find out and get back to you when I do. You can text me on 021779009, or email me via macash@mac.com

Remember - your children’s learning remains in good hands. Our country is also in good hands. We have been here before and we will get through this again.

On behalf of all our staff we send you our love, concern and our hope that you will all come through this strong and safe.
